It`s ridiculous, how can they charge 13% on a home, that`s ridiculous, thats the one thing we were able to make money on, now the housing prices will drop and we will all be out what we had invested! Enough is enough . Why do we let this happen, we cant let these idiots line their pockets with our hard earned money anymore. I lose this monsy based on the total amount of the sale which includes GST. So when a service is $100, I lose 2.3%on $105 not $100 which is equal to $2.41. If the taxes are combined to 13%. The business now loses $2.60. Oh sure sure, apparently we use this as a tax deduction but when a small business is trying to create new jobs and increase business through advertising and renovations it is almost impossible to do this when you are losing close to $5000 per year for simply accepting a single major credit card. When a small business owner is trying to keep a float by paying staff reasonable wages and doing everything in their power to continue on without laying staff off during slow season or recessions, How is this possible to do when the Government is adding on extra fees to anything they possibly can. I have yet to see a tax rebate as a single parent and small business owner. BONUS! HA! I love what I do, I love my staff but as a consumer and a business owner it will leave me no choice but to cancel accepting credit at all! I will have to remit more money to the Government and Lose more money for doing this. FORGET IT! Unfortunately Debit transactions or Cash will be the only way for us to continue.
